Charles A. Brehm, 63, of Blair, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 18, at First Lutheran Church in Blair with a private interment.

Charles A. Brehm was born Dec. 26, 1944, on the family farm in Johnson County near Talmage to Willard and Gladys (West) Brehm.

He married Judith Rueter in St. Paul, Minn., in 1966, and graduated from Dana College in 1967.

They opened C & J Tire Sales in Blair in 1972, running that business until December of 1980. He became a salesman for Federal Mogul and retired in December of 2007.

Mr. Brehm was diagnosed with cancer in March 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, and their children and their spouses, Jeff and Debbie Brehm, Jill and Don Harrold, all of Blair; grandchildren, Karissa and Destrey Brehnm, and Maverick and Logan Harrold, all of Blair; parents, Willard and Gladys Brehm of Brock; brothers and sister-in-law, Dallas and Carolyn Brehm of Johnson, Lyle and Kathy Brehm of Plattsmouth, Jim and Lorraine Brehm of Talmage; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Winner of Vienna, Austria, and Jean and Gary Shelstad of San Antonio, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Jack Hill and George Winner.

Memorials are suggested to Dana College or to First Lutheran Church in Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
