Freeman was the son of the late Herman and Myrtle Marlow Martin. He was a retired poultry and cattle farmer and was an Army Air Corps Veteran. He also was preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda, sister, Beatrice Johnson and brothers, Willis Martin, Edward Martin and J.C. Martin.
He was survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
