She was born Aug. 19, 1933, in Filer, Idaho, the daughter of Mabel and Charles Coats. She married Don Garner and together, they had five children. They were later divorced. She married Maurice Haynes on Oct. 1, 1960. They ranched in the Kimberly/Hansen area for many years. Charlene also worked as a beautician for 50 years and was known for her friendly, blue, smiling eyes. She loved to travel, bowl and craft. She had a competitive spirit, enjoying games with family and visiting Jackpot, Nev. Charlene had a great sense of humor and loved to be around family, friends and her dogs.
She is survived by four children, Lora Coburn of Filer, Shauna (Mick) Otto of Pocatello, Rick (Ronda) Garner of Twin Falls and Gary (Terry) Garner of Kimberly; one stepdaughter, Andrea Spencer; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; her son, Roy; her stepdaughter, Cathie Laughlin; her brother, Walt "Bud" Coats; her sister, Louise Webster; and her parents.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, at the First Assembly of God, 189 Locust Ave. in Twin Falls, with Pastor Paul West officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary in Twin Falls.
