Callie Zelda Dicken, 97, a former resident of Toddville and Cedar Rapids, died March 10 in a Colorado Springs, Colo., nursing home following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 6, 1885, at Central City. After attending Coe College, she taught in rural schools near Central City and Toddville. She was married to Emory Dicken March 21, 1914, at Cedar Rapids. They farmed in the Toddville area until 1948, then resided at Mount Vernon and Cedar Rapids. After Mr. Dicken's death in 1960, Mrs. Dicken resided at Davenport before moving to Colorado Springs in 1973.
She was a student of Christian Science.
Surviving are a daughter, Beverly A. Dicken, Colorado Springs, Colo., and a sister, Alta Butler, Davenport.
The body was cremated. There was no services.
