He was born February 26, 1949, in Whiteville and was the son of the late Chesley James and Lucille Sasser Price.
Mr. Price served his country honorably in the US Navy. Working as a NC State Park Ranger and later as a NHC Animal Control Officer he retired after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrigs Disease). He was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church and Save Our Kids Outreach, a Christian puppet ministry.
Surviving are his loving wife, Peggy Barrett Price of the home; daughter, Rebecca Susan Price of Wilmington; brother, Herman Price (Tammy) and sisters, Shirley Settlemyre (William) of Whiteville and Windy Wells (Joe) of Reston, VA.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Northside Baptist Church with the Pastor Kenny Chinn officiating.
Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
