Son of Samuel and Andrea Couch. Married Ann Crane; Ebenezer was the Chairman of the Observation Committee for Fairfield, CT, during the Revolutionary War otherwise known as the Culpepper Spy Network for George Washington. His sons: Capt Ebenezer Couch, Private Daniel Couch served for CT in New York and fought in the Battle of Saratoga. The family lost everything when the British/Hessians burned Fairfield to the ground in August of 1779.
