Anna's mother is Wilhelmine (Lese) Sprenger, August Sprenger's second wife. August emigrated from the kingdom of Prussia 1865 with his wife Charlotte, and Anna's half sister Wilhelmine and half brother William. She had 8 other siblings born in Wisconsin. Her 19th century childhood farm house still remains in the town of Dupont, Waupaca County on Quarterline Rd. Her older brother built a four square style brick home next to it in 1906. This type of 'fortress' home was not uncommon in this area colonized by Prussians. Her father originally lived in Sheboygan before moving to Waupaca County so that was her connection to that area.
