Fredrick Berg was the son of Casper and Anna Berg. He married Sophia Traenkle on 28 May 1884 in Fountain City, Buffalo, Wisconsin. They had 5 children together: Lydia, Harry, Edmund, Roy, and Myrtle. He worked for the railroad as a brakeman,conductor, and switchman. The family moved from Wisconsin to St Cloud, Minnesota, to Yakima, Washington, and finally ended up in Spokane, Washington.
