Funeral services for Myrtle Hossack, 82, Mitchell, will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Congregational Church at Mitchell. Burial will be in the American Legion Plot of Graceland Cemetery. Friends May call from, 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Will Funeral Chapel where there will be Order of Eastern Star (OES) rites at 8 p.m..
Mrs. Hossack died Friday at a local hospital. She was born in Faulkton May 1, 1896 to Mr. & Mrs. Jay Garwood and married Ivan Hossack Sept. 16, 1920 at Aberdeen. He died in 1952. She graduated from Faulkton High School and attended South Dakota State University. She was on the YWCA Board and a member of the Congregational Church, Women's Fellowship, Plymouth Guild, TOPS, OES, and Phi Sigma Alpha International Sorority.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs John (Maxine) Horman, Mitchell; a brother Harold Garwood, Corvallis, Wash., four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by two sisters.
