During the Revolution Robert served in Capt Thos Stokeley's Co, Col Loughrey's Regmt, Westmoreland County Rangers.

The DAR records show his spouse as Mary Bowel, 1774-1836.

The Will for Robert Brownfield Junior of Georges Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania is filed in Fayette County, Pennsylvania and is dated 15 Jan 1815. Signed and sealed in presence of Richard Patton and Robert Brownfield. Proved and probated in Court on 16 Mar 1815. Executors are wife Mary Brownfield, Charles Brownfield, and David Ross.

Family listed in will are wife Mary, eldest son Bazil, son Bowel, daughters - Lydia who is under age 18, Nancy, Mary, Rachel, and Elenor, grandson - Robert Freeman who is under age 21, and son-in-law - Benoni Freeman (name is hard to read for son-in-law).

Bowel Brownfield of LaSalle County, Illinois (Note: Land records show his full name is Thomas Bowell Brownfield and he appears to be in Green County,WI on the 1850 and 1860 census)
Nancy Allensworth and her husband Mathias of Jefferson County, Ohio
