Peggy Dianne McCarroll, 53, of Walnut Ridge, died Oct. 26, 2005, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born in Jonesboro, she lived in Pontotoc, Miss., but spent most of her life in Walnut Ridge. She had worked as an EMT with the Walnut Ridge Police Department for nine years and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M.W. McCarroll; her mother, Pearl White Franks; a sister, Mary Francis Ellis; and a brother, James Edward Franks.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Bill and Pearline Franks, Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Candice Bennett; four brothers, Danny Duncan, Ricky Duncan, Jeff Franks and Kenny Franks, all of Walnut Ridge; and four grandchildren, Cassie Bennett, Colton Bennett, Chloe Bennett and Creeden Richey of Walnut Ridge.

Funeral was Saturday at 11 a.m. in the House-Gregg Chapel with Tom Lamb officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Jeff Franks, Kenny Franks, Danny Duncan, Jeff Morris, Mike Bennett and Dirk Davis. Honorary pallbearer was Jimmy Tribble.
