W.T. Beauchamp, a Confederate Veteran, a Mason of high standing, and a member of the Baptist Church. He was 83 years of age, a resident of Athens, La. The services were held in Athens, La with rites of the Masonic Order. The ritual portion of the service was conducted by T.W. Parish, State Lecturer of the order. Dr. O.L.Kidd and Messrs P. Nelson, C.E. McLean, R.L. Colon, and W.H. Day represent Gibsland Lodge No.304, F&A.M.
Surviving members of his family are his widow, a daughter, Mrs Henry Green of Minden, LA. five sons, W.T. Beauchamp and L.L. Beauchamp of Athens, La. Ed Beauchamp of Haughton, La. Tobe Beauchamp of El Paso, TX. and John Beauchamp of Mexico; several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
