Mrs. F. A. PangburnMinnie Mae Johnson was born near Tipton, Cedar County, Iowa, June 29, 1866. She was the youngest of a family of nine children, one of whom, a sister, Mrs. Anna R. Simmons, survives her. She received her education at Norton Academy, Wilton Junction, Ia., and at the Friends Academy at LeGrande, Ia.She came to Faulkton, S. D., with Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Simmons in 1885. Here she met F. A. Pangburn to whom she was united in marriage June 23, 1887. To this union were born six children, four of whom survive her. Her chief ambition throughout her married life seemed to be in the development and welfare of her children, and she regarded no effort to arduous nor sacrifice too great if it resulted in their benefit.Her death occurred March 15, 1928. The immediate relatives left to mourn her loss are her husband, F. A. Pangburn; a daughter, Jessie M. Pangburn of Spearfish, S. D.; three sons, Paul W. Pangburn, Cohone, Col.; Frank J. Pangburn, Elrod, S. D., and Merrill W. Pangburn, Scotland, S. D.; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Simmons of Faulkton, and five grandchildren.Funeral services of Mrs. Minnie M. Pangburn, wife of County Judge F. A. Pangburn, were held at the M. E. church here Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Fred H. Ray officiating. Interment was made in the Faulkton cemetery. - Faulkton (S. D.) Record.Mrs. Pangburn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnson, was born on the farm now owned by John Miller, situated just south ad east of the West Bethel church corner, west of Tipton.
