Mrs. Mary G. Harris Is Buried Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church for Mrs. Mary Genevieve Harris, 72, who passed away Saturday, April 24, [1948], at her home at 1677 Lawrence Road. Rev. H.N. Hichens officiated assisted by Rev. Fred Maitland of Millington. Burial was made in Fremont Cemetery.

Mary Genevieve Kern was born April 10, 1876 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kern. She was united in marriage to John Harris on June 28, 1899 and to this union four children were born, two of whom died in infancy.

She is survived by two sons, Don Harris of Mayville and Leo Harris of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Roy Sherman of Flint; two nieces, Mrs. Leo Griffin of Marlette and Mrs. Frank Yoder of Flint; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren as well as a host of friends.

She was a member of Mayville Chapter O.E.S. No. 163.
