Jennie Mary Struhs Shaffer

ST. GEORGE - Jennie Mary Struhs Shaffer, 96, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at the Red Cliffs Rehabilitation and Convalescent Center.

Born August 30, 1905, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Frank Struhs and Anna Schmidlin. Jennie married Barth Cannon Shaffer on February 13, 1942, in the Mesa Arizona Temple.

Jenny held many callings and was a temple worker for many years in the Los Angeles and St. George Temples. She resided in St. George for 26 years.

She is survived by her sons Warren (Kathy) Shaffer of Agoura, California, Larry (Joan) Shaffer of Henderson, Nevada and Ronald (Susan) Shaffer of Ternecula, California; sister, Eloise (Ralph) Raymont of Tucson, Arizona; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 1, 2002, at 9:30 a.m. at the St. George City Cemetery. There will be a visitation held Sunday, June 30, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary. Arrangements under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
