VIDITO, Jill Rosamond, 44, of Hillgrove, formerly of Lawrencetown, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in the VG Site QEII, Halifax.

Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of Claude and Marion (Whynot) Lowe, Lawrencetown. Jill loved traveling and camping, children and any music festival. She was a member of Lawrencetown United Baptist Church and a very active member of the Digby East Fish and Game Association for 10 years. Jill was a former leader with Girl Guides of Canada, past member of the Valley Rose Rebekah Lodge No. 126, Lawrencetown, and a former life guard at the Lawrencetown and District Swimming Pool.

She is survived by her parents, Claude and Marion Lowe; common-law husband, Randy Gidney; stepdaughters, Shelley (Claude) Brissitte, Ottawa; Julie Robinson, Digby; stepson, Dwayne Gidney, Ottawa; stepgranddaughter, Jocelyn; stepgrandsons, Zachery and Lathan; sisters, Cindy (Harold) Young, Halifax; Linda (Michael) McKenna, Lawrencetown; Paula (Trevor) Hiltz, Aylesford; brothers, Scott Lowe, Lawrencetown; Andy Lowe, West Inglisville; Tony (Tracy) Lowe, Hildon; David (Charlene) Lowe, Kingston; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Michelle, Angela, Matthew, Amy, Mitchel, Amanda, Becky, Charlea, Taylor, Matthew, Kyle, Olivia and Lance; great-nephew, Kayden; several aunts and her special friends, Megan and Ben.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, June 28, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, Rev. Barbara Bishop officiating.
