Alma Stogsdill Wever, 78, died October 15, 1993 at her home in Penryn, CA.
She was born in Trenton, TX on Saturday, March 13, 1915.
She attended Arlie Grade School and Dodsonville High School where she was an outstanding basketball player.
She married D. A. Wever, also of Arlie and Dodsonville, in Hollis with Rev. Henry West officiating.
She had lived in Penryn for the past 51 years working as a nurse's aide and serving as a member of the Penryn Chapter No. 159 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: her husband, D. A.; a son, Larry of Sacramento, Ca; a daughter, Loretta Faye Peart of Loomis; four sisters, Oley Jones of Lakeside, CA, Lucy Hutchins, Faye Elmore and Margie Gray, all living in Texas; a brother, Hardy Stogsdill of Texas and four grandchildren.
