Wednesday evening of last week marked the passing of Howard Huffman, a life long resident of the town of Rockbridge.
Mr. Huffman was 61 years of age and had been in failing health for several months.
Mr. Huffman was a native of the town of Rockbridge, born in the year 1876. He was a son of John and Matilda Huffman, pioneer residents of this county. He was one of a family of thirteen brothers and sisters, ten of whom survive him. They are Edward, of Rockbridge; Orville, of Lime Ridge; Alonzo, of Hub City; Henry, of Bloom; Amos, Samuel and Mrs. George Prosser, of Richland Center; and Mrs. Herman Stetzer, of Debello Ridge. He is also survived by his wife and two sons, Myron and Barnard.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Fancy Creek Presbyterian church with Rev. R.E. Dreger conducting the services. Burial took place in the adjoining cemetery.
