Nina T. Briggs Jones, 90, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012, at her daughter's home in Twin Falls.

She was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Ucon, Idaho, the ninth child of Daniel Tyler and Matilda Petersen Tyler. She attended Ucon schools and graduated with a class of 35. She enjoyed school activities and dances.

She met Wayne Briggs on a blind date. They were engaged July 16, 1939, and were married at her parents' home March 30, 1940. They had five children: Donalyn, Nolan, Gale, Janice and Elaine.

Nina worked in many jobs, including farming, waitressing, potato warehouse, luggage handler for Skyway, Bank of California in Seattle, Green Giant Corn Co. as a bean picker, Idaho Frozen Foods and as a door-to-door Watkins dealer. Wayne passed away Oct. 30, 1985.

Nina married Wayne Jones on Sept. 27, 1997. She was very active in many callings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wayne Jones passed away May 1, 2007.

Nina is survived by her daughters, Donalyn (Bert) Rackham of Twin Falls and Janice (Cliff) Weekes of St. Anthony; son, Gale (Sandi) Briggs of Twin Falls; her brother, Stuart Tyler of Thomas, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; two children, Nolan Briggs and Elaine Warren; seven brothers and sisters; one grandson; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

A viewing for Nina will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. East in Twin Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Shelley 1st Ward Chapel, 184 N. Park St. in Shelley, with Bishop Thane Bolander conducting. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Basalt Cemetery in Basalt, Idaho.
