Andrew J. Dick, 47, died peacefully at his home late Wednesday afternoon, May 16, 2012, almost a year to the day after being diagnosed with cancer. He was born April 19, 1965. He had recently celebrated his 47th birthday and 17th wedding anniversary. A Department of Sociology faculty member, he was hired by the Department of Sociology in 2001.
Dick is survived by his wife, Reneé, and their two sons, Matthew and Ian; his mother, Martha Haney; and his father, John Dick.
