In Sept of 1965, Buddy enlisted into the Army serving in the Army Signal Corps during Vietnam. He was discharged on 21 June 1968. While in the Army Buddy met Mei H Lin of Taipei Taiwan. They were married on the 23rd of April 1968. To this union two sons were born, Raymond and Ronald. Buddy and Mei Lin were divorced in October 1975.
Buddy continued to live and work in the Seattle area for a number of years before moving back to Sidney to work in the oil industry and to care for his parents. After the death of his parent's he moved to Glendive Mt where he lived until his death.
Buddy was a liked by everyone. His greatest joy came from his sons. He enjoyed visiting his sons and his brother in Seattle. He especially enjoyed time with his 4 grandchildren who were the joy of his life.
Buddy passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Eastern Montana Veterans home at the age of 65.
Buddy is survived by: his two sons, Raymond (Kristi) Schow and their daughters, Kaylee and Ashley, and son Noah, Rochester WA; and Ronald Schow (Deborah) and their son Hayden, FT Belvoir VA; his older brother and best friend Raymond Schow of Auburn WA and his 5 children.
Buddy is preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, Marvin who died shortly after birth; his brother, Willard; and his sister, Helen Schmidt.
