Myrtle Minnie Harris, daughter of Albert and Wilhelmina (Henning) Lawrenz, was born on March 24, 1893 in Buena Vista County. On January 8, 1913 she married Fay E. Harris in Newell. IA. Her health had deteriorated the past two years in a nursing home and a respiratory problem was the cause of death. She spent the last 28 years in Newell and previously lived on various farms around Newell. Retiring in 1959, she was a homemaker. She was an active leader in her community, with greatest interests being her home and her yard. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church, Newell and Woman's Fellowship.
