Pfc. H. Claussen Rites Monday
PALMER — Services for Pfc. Henry Robert Claussen, 22, Palmer Army man who was killed in action in Vietnam May 29, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lizard Township, with burial in the church cemetery.
The Larson Funeral Home of Manson is in charge of arrangements. Military rites are planned.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Claussen, Palmer; his wife, Janice, rural Palmer; a brother Corliss, at home; two sisters, Yvonne, Fort Dodge, and Mrs. Charles Wink, Des Moines; also grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Onken, Palmer, and Mrs. Henry Claussen, Gilmore City.
Claussen graduated from Palmer High School in 1964 and Iowa Central Community College at Fort Dodge two years later. He entered service July 24, 1967.
Last December 10, he married Janice Graaf who resides with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Graaf of rural Palmer while her husband was in service.
