Joseph "Joe" Rahn
Joseph "Joe" Rahn, 82, died Wednesday May 11, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Effingham County to Norman James and Minnie Davis Rahn. Joe retired from Union Camp after 38 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in WWII, and the Korean Conflict, a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and the American Legion Post # 135. Survivors: wife of 58 years, Edith C. Rahn, of Savannah; one son and daughter in law, James "Jimmy" and Lynn Rahn, of Savannah; two daughters and sons in law, Marie and Lowell A. Williamson of Blackshear, GA; Teresa and Freddie Barnes, of Guyton; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Visitation: 6-8 pm Thursday at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 11am Friday in the Chapel of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Meguiar and Rev. Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
