One year, after Dr. Allen was acquited by a Rhea County jury (By reason of temporary insanity)of the murder of Burch C Gardenhire,a well known businessman.Dr. Allen shot and killed his 9 yr. old son, Walton Jr. and then killed himself.

He was the son of Peter Allen and Lorie Barnett. Spouse was Josephine Stokes.
