Ray A. Adams, 63 East North Street, husband of Mary Goodhart Adams, died last night at the Forest Park Nursing Home, 700 Walnut Bottom Road. He was 76 years old.

He was born on Jan. 3, 1894, in Cumberland County, the son of the late Robert A. and Jane Long Adams and lived most of his life in Carlisle.

He conducted a real estate business in Carlisle for 47 years, retiring in September, 1967. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class, Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Friendship Fire Co. and the Young Men's Christian Association. He was a former member of the Carlisle and Pennsylvania State Insurance Associations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. W. O. Myers, RD1, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 South Hanover Street. The Rev. Robert L. Close, his pastor, and the Rev. F. E. Remaly, minister of visitation of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the funeral home.
