Death of Mrs J T Connor
Mrs John T Connor, the wife of the superintendent of the Fertilizer company, died at her home on North Pitt street this morning at 11 o'clock.
She had been ill for several weeks of general debility, but was growing better and stronger, when, two or three days ago, she took pneumonia, which proved fatal.
The deceased was a woman in the prime of life, of bright mind and possessed of social qualities which was for her many friends and much admiration. She was an earnest Christian, devoted to the work of her church, firm in her faith and reliant upon her Savior. She was, indeed a pure, good woman and a devoted wife and mother.
Her maiden name was Anna M Crain and she was a daughter of the late Wm Crain, esq. Her mother is still living.
The funeral will take place from her late residence on Monday morning next at 10 o'clock. Interment in the old graveyard.
