Ilene F. Brown, 71, 207 E. Wilson St., Bryant, died Thursday at Woodcrest Nursing Home in Decatur. She was born in Huntington County, IN, May 13, 1940 the daughter of Eldon and Irene (Gilmer) Brown. She was retired as a secretary for the City of Phoenix Police Dept.
Surviving are one brother, Willis Brown of Irmo, SC; one sister, Doris Bergman of Bryant; and one sister-in-law, Ramona Brown of Decatur; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Ward presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant. Visitation will be Sunday from 12-2:30 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Bryant Community Center.
