Gil Moody, 87, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. Mr. Moody lived in Auburn and attended Auburn University. He was the owner and manager of Universal Volkswagen on the Parkway for 20 years, and was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church for 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Weatherwax Moody.
Survivors include daughters, Nancy Moody Hill and husband, Danny, of Toney, and Joy Elizabeth Moody of Madison; granddaughters, Michelle Elizabeth Dockery and husband, Alex, and Christina Marie Theriot and husband, Derriel, of New Market; and great-grandchildren, Michael Derriel Theriot and Breanna Theriot.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery, Inc. with Dr. Jimmy Jackson officiating.
