Irene M. River, 83, of Portland, Missouri passed away at Fulton Nursing and Rehab on May 25, 2012.
Irene was born August 8, 1928, in Loose Creek, Missouri, the daughter of the late Hugo Heinen and the late Regina Heinen. Irene was united in marriage to Andrew Rothove , who preceded her in death in 1969. She then married Joe Rivera who preceded her in death 1976.
Irene will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, David Rothove and wife Melissa, of Portland, Missouri; one daughter, Patricia Morgan of Williamsburg, Missouri; one sister, Nina Dean of Florida; nine grandchildren, Joanie Edgar and husband Travis, James Rothove, Rose Wallace and husband Aquino, Stacy Morgan, Mary Atterberry and husband Earl, Hannah Rothove, Matthew Rothove, Justin Rothove and Brittany Rothove; numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by one son, Jerome Rothove; two brothers, Teddy Heinen and Herb Heinen; two sisters, Poly Lock and Julia Schmitz; one grandson Melvin Kerr.
Irene enjoyed fishing, watching hummingbirds and flowers and gardening.
Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Mary Maddox officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. until the time of service also at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
