Theodore M. Justyk, 77, a World War II veteran and a former supervisor for Airco Carbon Co., died Tuesday (Dec. 12, 2000) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.

Justyk was born in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.

From February 1943 to February 1946, he was in the Army with Company A of the 286th Engineering Combat Battalion in the European Theater.

After the war, he returned to his job at Airco, from which he retired in 1981 as a supervisor after 41 years of service.

Justyk enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, the former Muriel J. Stipp; three daughters, Kathy Tulowiecki of Lakeland, Fla., Ellen Batrouny of Lewiston and Terese Mattice of Niagara Falls; two sisters, Bernice Reynolds and Adeline Mojeski, both of Niagara Falls; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1065 N. Military Road, after prayers at 9:30 in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Lewiston.
