Morphis, Chares Lee-834 Cherokee Ave. died Monday evening, June 14, 1971, survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Richardson Morphis, 2 daughters, Mrs. Ruby Edens of Gallatin, Mrs. Martha Kendall, Nashville; 8 sons, Odell, Garland J., Billy, Alton, and Paul Morphis all of Nashville, Hulma Morphis, Indiana, John H. of Lakeland, Florida, Jimmy Morphis, New Jersey; 2 sisters, Mrs. Barbria Connell, Nashville, Mrs. Bessie Shelby, Madison; 1 brother, Vernoy Morphis, Oak Ridge; number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Remains rest at Phillips Robinson Funeral Home where funeral service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, June 16, at 2 o'clock. Homer George and M.R. Gatlin, ministers, will officiate. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
