James Sullivan Ray, well-known farmer in Tombigbee Community, died in his sleep on April 30, 1957 of a heart attack. He was 65. Services were held May 1 at the Stevens Cemetery. Hawkins Funeral Home had charge. Mr. Ray, a native of Lee County, was a member of the Priceville Methodist Church.

Survivors included his wife; three sons, Jack G. Ray of Guntown, Elbert Ray, in the U.S. Army, and Delbert Ray of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. Loyd S. Roberts of Memphis and M
