Lt US Navy. Son of Presidential Candidate William Gibbs McAdoo. As an ensign, he was designated a Naval Aviator (# 236) in 1918. He was discharged from active service in 1921 with the rank of Lt JG. During WWII, he saw some action in 1943. He died as a result of head injuries after a fall at a nursing home, following partial paralysis. He was the brother to Robert, NA # 1955
