Norma Lee Spriggs, a retired seamstress and a resident of Marin for more than 30 years, died yesterday at a local convalescent hospital at age 75 after a long illness.
A native of Kansas, Mrs. Spriggs lived in the Midwest much of her life and moved to Marin during World War II. Her husband, Bernie, was a shipbuilder during the war, and was later a butcher at a market in the county. He died in 1966.
Mrs. Spriggs was active in the United Presbyterian Church in San Rafael.
She lived in 124 Merrydale Road prior to entering the convalescent hospital.
She is survived by 4 sisters, Mary Bisaro of San Rafael; Madeline Scott of Columbus, KS; Loneta Hagerty of San Pablo; and Mrs. Vilbar Snyder of Vallejo.
Private service was held today.
