Ernestine Watson Floyd died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Roger Huntington Nursing Center.

Born in Sellers, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Stonewall Culpepper and Fances Stackhouse Watson, and the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Floyd was a graduate of Lander College, the Medical College School of Nursing of South Carolina, and completed advanced studies in Public Health at Vanderbilt University.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenville and the Burnette Bible Class.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by her sons, Charles and his wife, Pat, of Havre, Mont., and Sam and his wife, Linda, of Mauldin; seven grandchildren, Nancy Richardson, of Boise, Idaho, Janet Henderson, of Great Falls, Mont., Penny Kiemele, of Arlington, Tenn., Michael Floyd, of Midlothian, Va., Robin Anne Floyd, of Washington, D.C., Gary Floyd, of Freehold, N.J., and Kelly Floyd, of Mauldin; and by ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 5, at 11 a.m. in the mortuary chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
