Charleen Lorraine Pate

Charleen Lorraine Pate, 71, Caldwell, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at her home of natural causes, surrounded by her loving family. Charleen was born on July 3, 1937, to Charles and Lorraine (Green) Thompson. She was the first of four children and grew up in Hagerman where she attended school. On Aug. 2, 1958, Charleen married James Pate and together they had four children. She worked at Karcher Ranch Market for many years where she met and became friends with many people. Charleen always had a laugh and a smile. She loved to watch movies and crochet. She especially enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family and friends.

Charleen is preceded in death by her husband; her sons, Michael and James; her sister, DeAnna Reddick; and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Tony) Mangum and Ginger (Chris) Lewis; her grandchildren, Megan Kent, Chris Lewis Jr., Lori Mangum and Nick Mangum; one great-grandchild, Hazen Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
