June L. Madden Heartsill, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Service: 4 p.m. Friday at The Woods United Methodist Church, 1350 Bardin Rd., Grand Prairie. Burial: 11:15 a.m. Saturday in D/FW National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Hospice of Fort Worth, 6421 Camp Bowie Blvd., Suite 200, Fort Worth, Texas 76116.

June was born in Brunswick, Ga., on June 12, 1934, where she lived most of her life. She attended Glynn Academy High School. June was a member of The Woods United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie. She was preceded in death by her son, Martin Hill; parents, Edith and Joe Madden; brothers, Ray Madden and David Madden; and sisters, Gloria Higgins and Edith Taylor.

Survivors: Her husband of 51 years, Paul T. Heartsill; daughters, Elaine Powell (Bill) of Bayfield, Colo., Laura Doxey (Davy) of Cameron, La., Lee Atzert of Atlanta, Ga., Lynn Freeman (Ricky) of Arlington, Paige St. Julian (Andrew) of Mansfield; son, Trent Heartsill of Arlington; sister, Charlene Strock (Vibert) of Austin; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and lifetime friends.
