Kate and her husband, Sam, made their home on the farm where Sam grew up in Lorimor until moving to Winterset in 1998. A life long homemaker, Kate was a member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Society, Study Club and other numerous organizations.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Connie (Steve) Clark of Afton; two sons, William "Bill" (Janis) Cooper of Newton and Dean (Beth) Cooper of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Jean Silverthorn of Earlham; one brother, Frank Orwan of Cherokee Village, AR; five grandchildren, Emily Jackson of Nashville, TN, Jeff Oberbillig of McKinney, TX, Nathan Clark of McKinney, TX, Wade Clark of McKinney, TX, and Nick Cooper of Des Moines; seven great grandchildren, Cole Clark, Austin Clark, Cody Clark, Kaitlyn Clark, Tristan Clark, Trevor Clark and Jordan Oberbillig. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam, two sisters and one brother.
