Mrs. Ayres was the former Ada Bowman, and was a native of Kaiser, West Virginia where she was born June 11, 1874. During the last three years of her life she was bedfast and was cared for at the home of her sister in law, Mrs. Harlan Bowman.
She was a member of the Baptist church and was active in Eastern Star, which she was past worthy matron and past grand officer of the grand chapter of Iowa.
She was married Jan. 6, 1901, to Dr. Ed Ayres. Her husband and an adopted daughter, Margaret preceded her in death.
Surviving are three brothers, Edgar Bowman of Siloam Springs, Ark., A. W. Bowman of Osceola and Harlan Bowman of Lorimor.
