Lucy Abate, 86 - of North Cape May, died on January 30, 2006 in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she formerly lived in Long Island, NY before moving to the Cape May County area in 1986. She was a member of St. John of God's Altar and Rosary Society and Legion of Mary.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Andrew A; two daughters, Lucille and husband Jeff Blom of FL, and Andrea and husband Lem Sheppard of CA; a son, Andrew G. and wife Linda of New York and their daughter Alison; two sisters and a brother, Rita, Eleanor and Sebastian.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 11 AM at St. John of God Church, Town Bank Rd., North Cape May, where friends may call from 10 AM. Burial will follow at Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery.
