OKLAHOMA CITY ? A memorial service for Patty F. Sanders, 80, Bethany, will be held at First United Methodist Church in Ada at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005.
Mrs. Sanders was born June 7, 1924, at Nevis, Minn., to Fred and Thyra Schmid. She died Feb. 11, 2005.
She graduated from Prairie View High School and attended East Central University in Ada where she completed her bachelor and master?s degrees in education.
She married Frank O. Vestal March 17, 1948, in Shawnee. He died 1969. On July 28, 1980, she married J.W. Albritton in Ada. He died in 1988. She married Jack Sanders Feb. 3, 1990, in Ada. He died in 2002.
She taught kindergarten at the First United Methodist Church in Ada for 13 years and first and second grades at McLish Schools for 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Vestal, Edmond, and Richard Vestal and his wife, Pam, Yukon; three stepsons, Kim Albritton and his wife, Donna, Ada, Chris Albritton and his wife, Theresa, Texas, and Jim Sanders and his wife, Donna, Ada; four grandchildren, Stacia Lamb and her husband, Chad, Yukon, Carey Vestal, Oklahoma City, Rebecca Vestal, Roanoke, Texas, and Micah Vestal, Yukon; eight step-grandchildren, Brandy Albritton, Michael Albritton, Kyle, Whitney and Chase Sanders, Lindsey, Lauren and Kelly Sanders; and one great-grandchild, Avery Lamb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Thyra Schmid; sister, Alma Williams; brother, Fred Schmid; and stepson, Dan Sanders.
