Woodhull Items Geo. Davis, who has been ailing for the past year, died rather suddenly of paralysis Wednesday evening, 29 November 1893. Mr. Davis was born 29 March 1815 in Buckinghampshire, England. He came to Connecticut in 1837 where he lived seven years. From there he moved to New York State, remaining there another seven years. Since then he has lived in Knox and Henry counties, where he followed the shoe maker’s trade for years. He leaves a wife and six children – Henry, of Humboldt, Nebraska; Elizabeth Richards, Beaver City, Nebraska; Emma Douglass, Yorktown, Iowa; Sarah Johnson, of Alpha; Mrs. A. Sherman, of Woodhull. The mourners have the sympathy of the entire community. “Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
