Lorena L. Griffith (Rena Darling), 85, of Buffalo, formerly of Arcade, died on Wednesday, May 4, 1988 at Hospice Hospital.
Born in Machias on February 9, 1903, she was a daughter of Urban and Lillian J. Prescott. On April 6, 1921, she married Robert L. Darling, who died in 1933. She married Alman J. Griffith on August 8, 1942. Mr. Griffith died in 1970.
Mrs. Griffith attended school in the Gulf District #2, and at Machias High School.
She is survived by one daughter, Mildred (Robert) Schneider; two granddaughters, Diane Balzer and Kim Utech; three great-grandchildren, Todd, Michele and Tammy Balzer; one sister, Mildred Prescott of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Griffith was predeceased by three brothers, John, Jennings and Norton Prescott; and one sister, Bernice Prescott.
Funeral services were held at Urban Funeral Home in Cheektowaga on Saturday, May 7 with the Reverend Crossno officiating. Burial was in Freedom Cemetery.
