NEW HAMBURG, Dec. 3 - Word has been received here of the death of John A. Schaff, at his home in Clare, Mich., at the age f 75. Mr. Schaff was a native of New Hamburg, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Schaff. He was born Sept. 14, 1874 and left here 50 years ago for Alpena, Mich., where he was employed in the retail shoe trade for many years. On his retirement he moved to Clare, Mich.
He is survived by his wife and a family of eight children; also two brothers, Henry of Aberdeen, Wash., and William of Meyronen, Sask., at present visiting in New Hamburg, and four sisters, Mrs. Lavina Currie, Mrs. Fred Peine and Clara, all of New Hamburg, and Mrs. Gilbert Ball, New Westminster, B.C.
