A son of Charles Luther Mowery and Alice Margaret (Jay) Mowery.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah Margaret (Walls) Mowery, on May 28, 1981.

He was employed as a foreman by Pennsylvania Glass Sand Corp., Berkeley Springs, until his retirement.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II and the Korean War.

He was a member of Wesleyan Chapel, Berkeley Springs.

He was a member of Webster B. Harrison American Legion post 26, Hancock.

He was survived by his wife, Juanita A. Michael Copeland Mowery; two daughters, Dorothy Jean Spring of Lompoc, Calif., and Carol Jacque Harbaugh of Berkeley Springs; five sons, Donald Richard Mowery of Vacaville, Calif., Terry Lee Mowery and Larry Wesley Mowery, both of Lompoc, Jack Thomas Mowery of Medina, Ohio, and Stephen Harry Mowery of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Betty DeMauro of Johnstown, Pa., and Emma Suter of Bedford, Pa.; one brother, Lloyd Mowery of Chambersburg, Pa.; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jennie Johnson.

Services were held Friday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs with Rev. William C. Swope officiating. Burial with full military graveside honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard was in Alpine United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pious Ridge, W.Va.
