Delores Lorraine (Pring) Wehrly,86,died Monday, May 21,2012,at the Waters of New Castle following an extended illness. She was born in Middletown,O.,of July 9,1923,to the late Vinton and Cora (Newlin) Pring.
She was a 1942 graduate of Kennard High School. She had worked several years at the Westwood County Club and several years at the Bronnenburg Children's Home in Anderson. Delores loved spending time with her family and flower gardening was her passion.
She is survived by nine children:three sons,Jim (Beth) Wehrly of Anderson,Steven (Lonita)Wehrly of Anderson,William F.(Marsha) Wehrly Jr.,of Straughn;two foster sons,Charles R. Hinchman of Beech Grove and Richie (Angie) Hinchman of Jeffersonville;four daughters,Paula (Jon) Cronk of New Castle,Nancy (Lee) Sexton of Mentone, Lorraine (Dave) Rossof Groveland,Fla.,Vickie (Michael) Adams of Alexandria;25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren;a sister,Glenna (Robert) Brenneman of New Castle;several nieces and nephews;and her loyal pet dog,Missy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years,William Floyd Wehrly in 1993;her parents; three brothers,Rex, Russell,Paul;sister,Dorothy Bancroft;a half-brother,Rupert Pring;two half sisters,Eunice Gray and Romaine Reichart.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday,May 25,at Hinsey-Brown Services in New Castle. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
