Asheville – James Fredrick Cutshall, Sr., 79, of 32 Salem Avenue, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 10, 2006 at the Memorial Campus of Missions Hospitals.

A native of Madison County, he had resided in Buncombe County since 1956. Mr. Cutshall was a retired security guard and a member of Aaron Baptist Church. He served for six years in the US Army Air Corps.

Mr. Cutshall was the son of the late Paul and Edna King Cutshall.

Surviving are his wife, Olene Waldroup Cutshall, of the home; daughter: Reva Cutshall Steppe of Arden; sons: James F. "Buddy" Cutshall, Jr. and wife Katie of Candler and David A. Cutshall and fiancé Kim Jackson of Canton; sister, Ailene Greene, of Asheville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Lewis Memorial Park, with Pastor Dan Stephenson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:30 PM Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
