He was born February 3, 1937, in Elm Creek, Nebraska to E. Frank and Naomi (Wolf) Shubert.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Friday, May 25, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Reverend Tess Hufford officiating.
