JACKSON -- Funeral service for Ben Sidwell Jr., 76, will be held at 10 a.m. (CDT) on Tuesday May 22, at Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery, with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. (CDT) today, Monday, May 21, at the funeral home.
Mr. Sidwell died Saturday, May, 19, 2012, at his residence.
Ben was born Dec. 20, 1935, in Willow Grove to the late Ben Sidwell Sr. and Virginia Fisher Sidwell.
He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the Navy after 24 years of service, and was a member of Englewood Baptist Church. He was active in the Big Brothers Organization, and coached 12-year-olds in junior football and Little League Baseball.
Kelvin Mercer and Bill Moorman will officiate at the services.
